Skilled Worker salary check

Skilled Worker pay must meet three tests: the general threshold (usually £41,700), the going rate for your occupation code, and at least £17.13 an hour. Enter your details to check.

Information checked: 5 November 2026 · UK rules change often; check GOV.UK before you apply

Finding your going rate: look up your occupation code (SOC 2020) in the GOV.UK eligible occupations table, which lists the standard going rate based on a 37.5-hour week. The going rate is pro-rated to your hours; the general threshold is not; hours above 48 do not count. People first granted Skilled Worker before 4 April 2024 have transitional rules (£31,300), not covered here. Most Immigration Salary List occupations are due to be removed on 31 December 2026.

Results are a guide only, not legal advice. Eligibility depends on the GOV.UK rules and an assessment by a UK solicitor.
