Graduate visa length calculator
From 1 January 2027, the Graduate visa for bachelor's and master's graduates drops from 2 years to 18 months; PhD graduates keep 3 years. Enter your degree and planned application date.
Information checked: 5 November 2026 · UK rules change often; check GOV.UK before you apply
Conditions: apply from inside the UK before your Student visa expires, after your university has confirmed completion to the Home Office. Length depends on the date you apply, not your graduation date. The Graduate visa cannot be extended.
Results are a guide only, not legal advice. Eligibility depends on the GOV.UK rules and an assessment by a UK solicitor.
